The tools inside of this training will equip you with a foundational understanding of what motivates suicidal ideation and attempts. You'll be able to identify appropriate public and private resources for individuals so that quality referrals can be made for care and mental health management.
This 3-hour state training is required for various Washington state health professionals. Some professionals are required to take a longer course and the regularity of training varies as well.
Please note: The following professions are required to take a six-hour course: social workers, licensed mental health professionals, nurses, marriage and family therapists, naturopaths, osteopathic physicians/surgeons/physician assistants, physicians and physician assistants, psychologists, and retired active licensees of the above professions.
